Nasra Giama

Clinical Associate Professor, Mayo Clinic, University of Minnesota

Dr. Nasra Giama is a women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP) and public health nurse interested in the intersection of health education and culture with a primary emphasis on health promotion and prevention in immigrant and refugee populations. Dr. Giama is clinical associate professor in the University of Minnesota School of Nursing and an assistant professor of medicine at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Giama provides scholarly leadership in four primary areas: (1) health promotion and prevention, (2) scholarship focused on methods to promote the health and well-being through community engagement strategies (3) transforming health equity and social justice in nursing education, (4) mentorship for diverse students in healthcare.
